Crush it like Clemson

Coupla nights ago Clemson shook up the college football world with a shocking beatdown on perennial favorite, Alabama.

How did the Tigers win?

Simple.

They took their shots and finished them.

Took their shots down the field with long passes.

Took their shots with running plays that ended up in the end zone.

Scored touchdowns multiple ways.

Now for the flip side…

They also shut down Alabama’s drives repeatedly, stuffing them on their scoring opportunities.

The Crimson tried, but failed, to finish their opportunities.

That’s how you win against tough opponents.

Score on your attacks, and counter theirs.

I am offering an advanced training session to help you finish shots from some of the most common positions in wrestling.

Don’t be a turkey, gobble gobble.

Once upon a time Tom the Turkey thought he could win football games forever.

Indeed, he had flown higher than all other turkeys on 5 occasions and it was a super impressive accomplishment to be sure.  Despite a few Giant stumbles, he was often lauded by his turkey peers as one of the greatest turkeys ever.

Alas, along came a nest of Eagles that clipped his wings and stuffed him in cranberry sauce.

The lesson?

Even GOATS eventually transform into Turkeys.

What’s REALLY wrong with the buckeyes

If you follow college football, you can’t help but notice how Ohio State has struggled this season.

A lot of factors play into it but here’s the biggest one:

Their coach was (forcibly) absent during the most crucial time – the 3 weeks leading up to the season.

It would be paramount to your coach missing the first 3 weeks of your practice.

A lot of folks would say, “its only the beginning of the season”, thereby missing the most critical problem.

The first few weeks are the most important weeks of the entire season.  Its where good coaches implement their system, including key movements and skills that are critical to the success of their athletes.

And if you don’t implement them early in the season, wrestlers will never have them when they need them at tournament time.

By the time you get to January and February – its too late!

That’s why right now is the most critical time for you – you are either going to grab what you need, or stumble and fumble around all season long trying to play catch-up.

I always see athletes attempt to do just that – start midway through –  and if you’re thinking about taking that approach, I suggest you reconsider.

You don’t want to be into mid-season trying to figure out how to

  • Execute our high level single leg
  • Counter leg riders
  • Score multiple ways from top position
  • Score from the front headlock, as well as other ways when the opponent shoots
  • A host of skills implemented and re-enforced in November and December so you are ready to win with it in January and February.

Because space is limited, and some of our groups only have a few spots remaining….

Now’s the time to snag your spot before someone else takes it

Brainwashing secrets of the ‘nice devil’

Years ago a dedicated young whippersnapper dubbed me the ‘nice devil’. (Kids can be so warm and caring.)

His reasons included:

  • my penchant for running them through a grueling workout, all while smiling
  • diabolically brainwashing them into accepting my system of wrestling
  • taking common movements taught in every room, flipping them on their ear and using it against the opposition
  • The two remaining pointy hairs on my head that would stick up, resembling horns

I relished the role of the ‘nice devil’ and considered it a compliment (probably explains my admiration of Thanos).

Well, young whippersnapper adopted my diabolical ways and as a result, knocked off a far superior athlete in one of the largest upsets the Cincinnati area had seen in years – catapulting himself to state by knocking off the projected state champ.

He did so by fully utilizing the devils quadrangle (fitting) – a simple 4 step system for winning hand fights, tying up and shutting down the most athletic opponents.   Then, using our superior position to take him down at will (which he did to Mr. Projected State Champ).

This week at ACE, you get see what I taught him, that led him to this huge upset and major signature win.,

It’ll be on display for this special session as we crack open the doors just a tad (we’re already packed in so space and openings are already very limited.

Stressed Out?

While reading a fascinating article about Twenty-One Pilots, I got to thinking about this upcoming season, and how a lot of wrestlers may already be Stressed Out by it.

Are you feeling stressed out, not sure if you’re going to be ready?

If you want to get a running head start, instead of stumbling into the season rusty, here’s how you can:

  • BE the attacker.  When the whistle blows, you can make your opponent scramble to defend your attacks
  • Fuse your mind with body and fix what’s broken
  • discover the keys to scoring from short offense – along with the best front headlock scoring tactic you could ever use, while…
  • shutting down your opponent’s front headlock immediately

Come along for a great ride

in a little more than a Fortnite…

Last night my son boasted about getting a “360 no scope” head shot. I got really worried until I realized he was talking about the immensely popular Fortnite.

Winning at Fortnite takes a lot of practice, as well as possessing skills such as:

  • hopping and ducking while opponent is trying to shoot you
  • precise aim
  • building skills
  • getting the golden chest that has the sniper rifle
  • storm awareness

All skills that I sorely lack.

Winning at wrestling on your feet takes skills such as:

  • changing levels and defending while the opponent is trying to shoot on you
  • precise angles
  • a sure-fire short offense series that scores immediately
  • a whistle-to-fall plan of attack that keeps your opponent on the defense and you on the offense
  • an attacking mindset where every position leads to a score for you
  • attacking multiple ways from one set position (much like an NFL offense employs multiple plays from the same formation)
  • a system of setups that forces your opponent to do move where you want him to, and when
  • sure-fire finishes – know exactly where to go – and go there instinctively
  • the ability to quickly fix any defect in your game – and keep it fixed

In a little over a fortnite, a lucky group of dedicated athletes will be discovering the keys to sniping their opponents on the feet with can’t miss shots.

Shred your opposition like Banksy

Street artist/political activist/vandal and affirmed recluse Banksy one-upped the entire art world recently.

Minutes after his grossly overvalued painting, Balloon Girl, was sold at Sotheby’s for $1.4 million…

it shredded itself.

Banksy had installed a shredder inside the frame, and via remote control, had it turned on right after the gavel dropped.

Just as Banksy shredded his own painting (wait for it…)

You can put your opponents through the shredder this year.

In just a few weeks, you can:

this one’s for the High School / Junior High:

  • dominate your opponent on the mat by shredding his escape attempts immediately
  • easily turn even the stingiest opponents with the most reliable tough guy turns
  • the undisputed #1 leg riding counter so effective, you’ll be begging for them to throw the boots
  • On bottom, rip your opponent’s attacks to shreds
  • go here to shred your opponent from the mat

PS. Be the Banksy, or get Banksy’ed – up to you.
